My scary experience :(

Actually, I think I’m not likely to be scared. Even if I’m scared, I forget about it easily. However, I’ve had two scary experiences after I came to the US.

First, I almost got lost here. A few weeks ago, it was my hostess’ birthday, so I decided to buy a cake for her. I wanted to buy her a Korean sweet potato cake, and the Korean bakery is located in Buena Park. My friend told me I could get there if I took a #24 bus, which I always take to commute to school. I believed what my friend said. I took a bus, missed the bus stop where I should get off to go home, and just went straight on the bus. I thought I would arrive at the Korean bakery in a few minutes. However, the bus didn’t go to the direction which I had expected, so I was embarrassed. I believed that someday I could arrive. However, the bus never got to the Korean bakery, but it stopped at the last stop of the bus. I didn’t know what to do. Moreover, my cell phone battery was dead at that time, so I couldn’t ask for help. Finally, I waited for a while, and I could take a bus going back home. Even if this only had happened for a while, I was so scared and worried at that moment.

Next scary experience happened right after I came to Fullerton. It was the first day when I lived in the homestay family’s house. I was sleeping in the morning, and no one was in the house. Suddenly, I felt that someone came into my room and pressed my body. I thought a thief broke into the house. I couldn’t move, and I thought I was going to be killed. However, that was a nightmare! After a while, I woke up from the nightmare. I think I was nervous and unfamiliar about the new environment because it was the first day being alone. The nightmare was very vivid, so I couldn’t sleep well for a couple of days.
